Psychotherapy Munich

Psychotherapy in English and German

‘It is not said that things will get better if they are different. But if things are to get better, they have to change.’

Georg Christoph Lichtenberg

Taking the path of psychotherapy usually comes after a long time and suffering. I would therefore like to encourage you first of all, because the first step has now been taken.

Psychotherapy is a scientifically based method for the targeted treatment of mental suffering. In this healing method, emotional, cognitive and biographical factors are included in order to obtain a holistic picture of the illness and then to be able to heal it. The therapist's appreciative and positive attitude towards the client is important here. The therapist also has the task of providing the client with knowledge about their own illness and showing them concrete strategies and actions to cope with the illness. In this way, long-term recovery and maintenance can be achieved.

Treatment focuses:

  • Compulsions
  • Phobias and anxiety disorders
  • Depressions
  • Burnout / Stress
  • ADHD

There are various schools of psychotherapy. I practice cognitive behavioral therapy, which focuses on reducing unhealthy thought patterns and behaviors. I always incorporate elements from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and mindfulness. Therapy can be conducted in my practice at Ganghoferstraße 2 in Munich or online.

I do not have a health insurance licence and therefore charge according to the GebüH (scale of fees for alternative practitioners). These costs are usually not covered by statutory health insurance. If you have supplementary insurance or are privately insured, the costs may be covered.
